Who we are looking for
The part-time MBA in Digital Business & AI at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg is aimed at managers who want to get fit for the digital age and opens up improved career opportunities in digital business. Age, job experience, position, and functional area are only of secondary importance for our selection.
The MBA also appeals to employers who want to make their management fit for digital change and artificial intelligence. Company size and industry play a subordinate role here.
Young Professionals
Specialist:
“Of course, I’m very familiar with my functional area. However, for digital transformation and digitalization, our company is increasingly demanding broader digital business & AI skills, especially IT skills relating to digital transformation management, big data, data science, machine learning, deep learning, and the Internet of Things … To secure my job and boost my career, I therefore need to broaden my skillset. However, self-study or evening classes will certainly not be enough, but instead I need a Master study program.”
IT manager:

Bachelor graduates:
“After completing my Bachelor’s degree, I now want to get started in practice. Staying at university for another two years is too long for me, even if I had a Master’s degree in my pocket afterwards. At the moment, however, companies seem to be looking for the jack of all trades: Knowledge of business administration, IT and preferably also law, all geared towards digitalization and artificial intelligence. With knowledge in digital transformation management, machine learning, and data science, I certainly wouldn’t be able to save myself from job offers, but to achieve this, I would only consider a part-time Master degree program.”
Master graduates:
“In my Master’s program, I have already acquired in-depth knowledge in a specific area. Due to digitalization, however, allrounders who can demonstrate both commercial and IT qualifications, ideally with an interdisciplinary Master’s degree, seem to be more in demand in practice at the moment. But I don’t want to do another full-time Master’s program. A part-time Master program in Digital Business & AI would ideally prepare me for the world of work.”
